Second run kings on the Kenai are world renowned. I wait eleven months every year for the prospect of giving my clients the opportunity to hook a "Kenai River Legend".
The popularity of the Kenai can be intimidating. The fishing can be intense and frustrating yet highly rewarding. The rewards are measured in pounds: Sixty, Seventy & Eighty pound kings can and do get caught on a weekly basis.

These fish are big, bold and fresh from the ocean. I think they are the premier sport fish of Alaska, if not in the world. As such, I highly encourage catch and release and promote the KRSA (Kenai River Sportfishing Association) "Release-a-Hawg Program".
